The COST Action was structured by bi-annual events comprising management committee, working groups and core group meetings which were planned with the intention to cover all geographical regions of Europe: Dortmund, Poznan, Lisbon, Riga, Nicosia, Birmingham and Thessaloniki.

The local awareness of the situation of urban gardening in the countries where the events took place was raised significantly as local advocates joined the events, gave presentations and followed the Action’s activities later. For each meeting carefully edited event reports with summaries of all presentations and minutes of working group meetings where produced and are available for the broad public.

The final event was the international conference “Growing in Cities” in Basel with scientific contributions from all over the world.
